Binds agents to the caller org's channel and answers the bindings as GET would.

MethodPUT
Operationput_channel_agent
AuthAuthorization: Bearer $HANZO_API_KEY

Binds agents to the caller org's channel and answers the bindings as GET would. It requires ORG ADMIN. The agent is named by its ref — the name an org gave it at POST /v1/agent, or a built-in such as dev, des or vi.

Request

5 fields, body application/json (required).

FieldInTypeRequiredDescription
channelbodystring—Channel is the transport to edit.
defaultbodystring—Default sets the agent for rooms with no binding of their own; "hanzo" restores the built-in.
roomsbodyobject—Rooms binds platform room ids to agents; rooms not named are left alone.
rooms.*bodystring—
unbindbodystring[]—Unbind removes the bindings of these rooms, so they fall back to Default.

hanzo channel agent replace

MCP reaches channel through the channel tool, which names its 8 operations with its own verbs — this one among them, under a name only MCP declares. describe explains any of them:

curl -X POST https://api.hanzo.ai/v1/mcp \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
       "jsonrpc": "2.0",
       "id": 1,
       "method": "tools/call",
       "params": {
         "name": "describe",
         "arguments": {
           "op": "list_channels"
         }
       }
     }'
